    Wednesday, February 26, 2020

    12:30 pm ET /11:30 am CT / 10:30 am MT / 9:30 am PT

“What Order Management & Accounting Software Is Best Suited for Ad Specialty Distributors Today?”

Is there a perfect solution for our industry? What options exist? What should we be paying? Which might be best for the long haul? What functions do these solutions automate? How important is it to use an automated solution? What are the risks in doing so?

These back-office questions are the less-exciting aspects of being a distributor but are critically important to freeing a distributor up to do what they do best: SELL. So, let’s examine some options and how to make an informed decision to figure out what is best for you and your business—so you can get this back-office labor done quickly, correctly, and affordably.

    Attendees will learn:

    1. Learning which features should you look for in evaluating a new Order Management and Accounting System

    2. The benefits of QuickBooks

    3. Learning which QuickBooks is best for the Promotional Products Distributor

About Harriet: Harriet Gatter is an independent consultant who works exclusively with Ad Specialty Distributors. She was a distributor for 23 years and was also an adjunct accounting professor during part of that time (not as much fun as expected). She sold her business in 2013, became certified as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and started Accounting Support, LLC to work exclusively with Ad Specialty Distributors on their Order Management and Accounting Systems. The mission of Accounting Support is to develop a complete back-office solution for Ad Specialty Distributors so they can tame the back-office work in a complete, time-efficient, and affordable way.

Here's 4 hrs of training for protection and competitive advantage.

Product Safety and Responsibility is Critical

to your business' success. What you don't know could put you out of business. These four hours of training will provide you with a competitive advantage and make you an even more valuable asset to your clients' brand protection efforts. Let put aside some myths.

    1. Product Safety is a Supplier Only Issue. False! Distributors who decorate or alter a product in any way are the supplier in the eyes of regulators.

    3. I'm in Michigan and California Prop 65 does not apply to me. False! If products you source end up in California (through e-commerce sales or your client hands them out at a trade show or sales meeting there) you can be held liable for violations.

    What You Will Learn

We will spend 90 minutes with: CAS Required Course - Product Safety Basics This will introduce you to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and their role, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) which are the Federal laws that you need to know.

We will discuss Proposition 65 and State Regulations to introduce you to what you need to know to keep your clients compliant where ever the promotional products may end up.

Undue Influence Training provides more protection for you as a responsible corporate citizen.

The fourth segment is an elective that provides you with the four required hours to be designated as Product Safety Aware.
