Event Volunteers

What You’ll Do:

  • Support event setup and registration at shows like Ideas in Bloom, Sizzle in the City, Northern Connections, Promotions that ROAR!, and the TOM Show. 

  • Assist exhibitors and attendees

  • Help facilitate show donations, volunteers, etc.

  • Provide onsite support and ensure a seamless event experience

Estimated Time Commitment:

  • Day-Of Event support: 1-4 hours per shift

  • Pre-event tasks (optional): 1–2 hours

Skills You’ll Develop:

  • Event coordination

  • Customer service and communication

  • Problem-solving in dynamic environments

  • Community building and relationship building with industry professionals

Committee Volunteers

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide input that shapes programs, policies, and member initiatives through committees like Marketing, Advocacy, Membership, Professional Development/Education, and more

  • Collaborate with peers to advance industry goals

  • Participate in scheduled committee meetings

  • Offer expertise or gather feedback from fellow members

Estimated Time Commitment:

  • Monthly or quarterly meetings: 1–2 hours each

  • Occasional prep/review: 30–60 minutes

Skills You’ll Develop:

  • Leadership and strategy

  • Collaboration and project planning

  • Industry insight and influence

  • Public speaking and meeting facilitation

Other Ways to Serve 

Examples:

  • Mentorship or peer support roles

  • Advocacy and outreach helpers

  • Highly flexible: from 30 minutes to a few hours per month
